d&b demoing NoizCalc software at PLASA London 2016

d&b audiotechnik sales partner SSE/Wigwam will be providing hands-on introductions to the company’s new NoizCalc far field noise immersion modelling software at PLASA 2016, which is set to take place at London Olympia from 18-20 September.

Stand J20 will also feature the new QSC plugin Q-SYS along with NoizCalc, which is up for a PLASA Award for Innovation.

Meanwhile, newly appointed d&b sales partner SFL Group, on stand V60, will show off the d&b DS10 audio network bridge, which will be a focus of attention during the Dante event on Tuesday 20 September 20 from 10am.

d&b is also involved in ‘The Exploratorium’, an interactive mini maze of experimental spaces created by SoulSound, and ‘Head Space’ by d&b Bill Brooks. “Acoustic experiments have proved to be a very effective and inspirational way of educating the industry,” explained Brooks, “and The Exploratorium is the ideal platform to demonstrate this.”

d&b’s Oran Burns will enrich the seminar schedule with ‘Democracy for Listeners, the next level’ on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 September at 15:15, looking at how recent advancements in line array technology allow us to achieve unparalleled tonal balance and even coverage throughout the audience area.

d&b GB is also announcing its official sponsorship of the 2016 Technical Theatre Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound.

“We’re joining forces with our sales partners this year,” noted Gianni Abruzzese, d&b GB commercial manager, “so we’re looking forward to offering the sum of our combined experience. We’re also very happy to see NoizCalc in the running for an Innovation Award; its potential for the long term future of live open air events cannot be overestimated. In terms of improving transparency and communication, between audio providers and organisers, it’s key to keeping our partygoers and local neighbours equally in mind.”
