Gibson Garage guitar superstore set to open in Nashville

Gibson is set to open an 8,000-square foot superstore in Nashville next week, which it describes as “the ultimate guitar experience”.

The Gibson Garage opens to the public on Wednesday 9 June on 10th Avenue South in the heart of downtown Nashville.

The new store will feature products from all of the 127-year-old guitar maker’s brands, including Gibson, Epiphone, Kramer, Mesa Boogie and KRK.

The massive shop will include a stage for live and livestreamed gigs, along with a custom shop, and repair and restoration centre.

The interactive store will offer visitors the chance to try out the goods and also take advantage of exclusive offers, instruments and accessories.

The shop will also include displays detailing the famous brand’s history, along with celebrity memorabilia.

“The Gibson Garage is the ultimate guitar experience where our past, present and future comes to life for fans and artists right here in Music City,” said James ‘JC’ Curleigh, CEO of Gibson Brands. “This is also our opportunity to contribute to the amazing music and guitar culture that we’ve been a part of for over a century. We can’t wait to share the Gibson Garage with our fans and future fans.”

To celebrate the grand opening of the Gibson Garage next week, a global virtual concert will be streamed, including performances from the likes of Warren Haynes, Margo Price, Kip Moore.

‘Gibson Live: A Celebration of Artists to Benefit Gibson Gives’ will be streamed at 18:30 CT/19:30 ET/12:00 BST/01:00 CEST via Gibson TV.

Donations from the concert will go to MusiCares – a safety net of critical health and welfare services to the music community, and Save the Music which helps children, schools, and communities discover their full potential through the power of making music.
