Imogen Heap, Mandy Parnell, Ken Scott on InMusic 2017 lineup

The organisers of Innovation In Music (InMusic), the biannual European music industry conference, have confirmed that this year’s event will feature talks from artists Imogen Heap and Talvin Singh, a Q&A with Grammy Award-winning mastering engineer Mandy Parnell, in addition to sessions involving iZotope CTO Jonathan Bailey, forensic musicologist Peter Oxendale and producer/engineer Ken Scott (The Beatles, David Bowie, Lou Reed).

There will also be an innovation panel consisting of Jon Eades (innovation manager, Abbey Road), Josh Saunders (head of technical and creative, Warner Music Group UK) and Swedish producer and installation artist Håkan Lidbo discussing trends and expectations over the coming two years around innovation in music, from creation through technology, to delivery and remuneration.

The 2017 Innovation In Music Conference will be held at the University of Westminster’s Regent Street Campus in the centre of London on 6-8 September.

InMusic 2017 is an opportunity for those interested in finding out more about the rapid changes taking place in the music industry to mix with experts in the field, exchange experiences and learn about the latest trends and developments. Contributions are peer-reviewed, and the conference proceedings will be published as the third InMusic book in early 2018.

Sponsors this year are Focusrite RedNet and iZotope. For more information on the event, or to register, see the website below.
