Innovation in Music reveals 2015 keynotes

Innovation in Music has announced its three keynote speakers for the 2015 event on 7-9 June.

Peter Jenner, former Pink Floyd manager and a prominent figure in the music industry, will present an industry keynote; musician, inventor, composer and developer Tim Exile will talk about music creation as well as perform; and Martin Walsh, vice president of R&D at DTS and inventor of Headphone: X will deliver a technical speech on mixing for headphones.

The event aims to tackle and explore innovations in the music industry and will be held at the Anglia Ruskin University, home to the Cultures of the Digital Economy Research Institute, in the heart of Cambridge, UK.

The event’s scope will focus upon topics including:

•Innovative music creation

•Technology innovation

•Music production – past, future and present

•Innovation in music business

•Knowledge transfer between music industry and academia

•Sound engineering

•Mastering

•Post production and sound design innovation

•Games music and sound design

•Performance and/or composition, human and beyond

A number of special sessions will also be held at the event, including demonstrations of equipment, systems, processes and procedure, all dealing with innovation in the field.

Innovation in Music is looking for academics, creatives, producers, artists, industry professionals and manufacturers in the field to submit abstracts or proposals on topics involving innovation in the industry across a range of topics.
