ISE 2016: DPA to focus on conference audio quality

DPA Microphones will highlight the importance of using high quality microphones in meeting rooms, lecture theatres and conference halls at ISE 2016.

On show at DPA’s stand 7-T235 will be a range of solutions ideally suited to the conference and AV install markets including microphones for hanging, podium, table or floor stands, versatile bodyworn microphones and barely visible miniature microphones.

Firstly is the d:screen SC4098 podium mic, a completely linear offering that features a directional polar pattern and is designed to deliver a more natural sounding off-axis response. The miniature capsule is mounted on a delicate gooseneck and comes in several lengths for hanging, table or podium mounting or on floor stands. DPA’s range also includes the d:dicate podium microphones that incorporate modular capsules from DPA’s d:dicate recording microphones. DPA will be showing these mics in a range of configurations, including floor standing and hanging from the ceiling, to suit different acoustic environments and demands.

The company is also previewing its d:screet BLM4060 boundary layer microphone, which is designed for tabletop use in boardrooms and conference facilities where excellent vocal pickup is required. Also on show will be the company’s full range of d:fine headset microphones that are unobtrusive and very popular with conference speakers and adjudicators who want to keep their hands free while they are presenting and talking.

DPA will complete its ISE 2016 line up with the award winning d:facto vocal microphone, a hand-held vocal mic that ‘offers true studio sound in live surroundings.’

"In any conference, lecture or meeting situation, ensuring that speakers can be clearly heard and understood is vital for the success of an event," said Anne Berggrein, DPA’s VP of marketing. "The microphone is the first link in the audio chain, so it makes perfect sense to introduce the highest possible quality at that point. We have a range of useful solutions that give conference and AV installers the high quality sound they demand."
