ISE 2018: Avid VENUE systems and new On-Stage iOS app make European debut

Avid will demonstrate its award-winning Avid VENUE | S6L live sound console alongside a new On-Stage iOS app on Booth 7-R230 at ISE 2018 this week.

The company will deliver hands-on demos of the fully modular and scalable live sound mixing system. Powered by MediaCentral, Avid will showcase the S6L’s integration with Pro Tools, as well as on-board industry-standard plugins, with “higher track counts and more processing power than ever before.”

The software update and On-Stage app for the live sound system introduce a range of new control surfaces and software workflows, enabling monitor engineers to remotely control any mix from any location on an iPad, iPhone or iPod.

Additionally, the new Waves SoundGrid High Density (WSG-HD) Option Card and Avid VENUE software update for the S6L console delivers hardware and software integration with Waves SoundGrid systems. This collaboration gives live sound engineers tactile software control of plugin parameters, full show file import from legacy Avid VENUE systems, simplified setup, system redundancy, and greater flexibility.

“Our presence at ISE 2018 is key to Avid’s commitment to our preeminent live sound customer community,” said Tom Cordiner, senior vice president of global sales at Avid. “The show is the perfect setting to showcase our cutting-edge live-sound technology, including the latest updates to our flagship console. Giving audio pros new levels of creative freedom and audio capabilities are what make Avid the number one choice for monitor engineers working in concert sound, touring and houses of worship all over the world.”
