Merging, Genelec partner for ISE immersive sound showcase

Merging Technologies and Genelec are joining forces to deliver a ‘groundbreaking immersive audio experience’ at ISE 2016.

The companies are promising visitors to the Merging stand (7-C160) a ‘unique opportunity to experience a solution that signals the future of audio in fixed installations.’

The setup will combine Merging’s newly released Ovation 6 with Genelec’s pre-production RAVENNA/AES67 powered 4420 – a new model designed to bring the benefits of Genelec’s DSP system to the 4000 Series of loudspeakers for fixed installations, as well as AoIP capability – in an 18-speaker array.

Backed by the Horus and Hapi networked audio interfaces and Pyramix 10, Ovation 6 grants the power of an integrated 3D rendering engine, for use with both replayed sounds and an ‘almost limitless’ number of live inputs.

“Immersive audio and AoIP are the spotlight and interest is really picking up amongst systems integrators,” commented Chris Hollebone, sales and marketing manager of Merging Technologies. “For that reason we’ve created an installation that demonstrates how these two trends can combine in a powerful, captivating way. We’re delighted to partner with Genelec on this, their reputation speaks for itself, and I’d urge any integrator interested in the future of audio to visit our stand at ISE.”
