Music streaming service ROXi lands on Sky Q TV platform

The traditional music streaming services have some novel competition in the UK from today, as made-for-TV music service ROXi debuts on the Sky Q TV box platform.

The service doesn’t just call on a catalogue of 55 million songs, but also offers subscribers interactive music trivia games and ‘Sing with the stars’ karaoke.

In addition there’s access to internet radio, and bespoke features such as ROXi’s ‘Sound Machine,’ an audio-visual wellness experience, and celebrity playlists from Robbie Williams, Alesha Dixon and Sheryl Crow.

Until now, ROXi’s music entertainment experience has only been available on the brand’s dedicated Music Entertainment Console.

“Over the last decade we’ve witnessed an explosion of digital entertainment experiences, largely on small personal screens,” says “Rob Lewis, CEO of ROXi. “But the next revolution in digital entertainment will not be about mobiles and tablets. By the end of 2022, we’re aiming to make ROXi available to some 500 million TVs.”

The ROXi subscription, which sits on top of the regular Sky Q contract, is £6.99 a month.
