PLASA Focus: Orbital Sound to spotlight Nexo range

The Nexo Geo M6 is set to take centre stage on Orbital Sound’s stand at PLASA Focus Leeds, alongside products from several of its distributed brands.

As Orbital Sound’s principal loudspeaker brand, the Nexo line-up offers a range of new compact modular designs, including the Geo M6 all-purpose AV and musical theatre system, built for deployment in a variety of situations.

Commenting on Orbital Sound’s recent appointment as UK main dealer for Nexo, director of sales Andy Simmons said: “The Nexo Geo M6 packaging has been thought out really well and, for both our installation and rental teams, this will be a workhorse product, as will the STM M28, which really impressed all of us when we heard it in many evaluations.

“We found great synergy with the engineers at Nexo, they’re receptive to ideas and input from their users, and they’re sensitive to the needs of the market. It was vital from Orbital’s point of view that we could be involved in product development for the future. This is a really exciting addition to our portfolio, and we are confident that it is going to deliver great results for a wide cross-section of our customers in the future. You really do have to hear it to appreciate its capabilities and power."

Orbital will also be showing products from the Shure range of wireless solutions and also examples of Clear-Com/HME’s wired and wireless intercom solutions for live events. Completing Orbital’s line-up for this year’s show is the compact Yamaha QL series of digital mixing consoles aimed at small to medium-scale applications across live sound, corporate speech events and installations. In addition, the team will be providing advance information on Yamaha’s new flagship desk, the Rivage PM10.

Orbital Sound can be found at stand R-D14 during the event, which takes place at the Royal Armouries on 12-13 May 2015.
