PLASA previews Glasgow show sessions

The organisers of PLASA Focus: Glasgow have announced initial details of the seminar programme for the upcoming Scottish show, which returns to the SECC on 20 and 21 January 2016.

Audio highlights so far include Nexo’s Stuart Kerrison and Orbital Sound presenting ‘Modular PA design. The way to maximise your ROI?’, exploring how PA system designs have evolved and how rental companies can make the right decision for them.

Another session will be presented by Warehouse Sound Services and d&b audiotechnik on ‘Line Arrays Unravelled’, discussing the pros and cons of using line array directivity technology.

Christopher Toulmin, director of events, said: “PLASA Focus Glasgow has been received by the industry as the only show in Scotland offering visitors the chance to meet some of the region’s designers, engineers, product specialists and end-users whilst seeing some of the latest product releases and engaging with PLASA’s popular free seminar programme.

"The announcement from VisitScotland investing in a new ten-year ‘collaborative strategy’ to grow Scotland’s 3.5 billion events industry, has reinforced the need for the Focus show to showcase the latest technologies for the events industry.

Following on from its recent acqusition of EFX Audio, Adlib will host a demo facility with L-Acoustics and Soundcraft on the Wednesday, giving attendees the opportunity to trial new products from the brands – both of which will be offering dedicated seminars too, along with experts on hand to deliver advice to visitors.
