PL+S 2017: Powersoft launches two new amplifier modules

Powersoft is extending its commitment to OEM customers with the launch of two new compact amplifier modules at this year’s Prolight + Sound show in Frankfurt.

LiteMod 4HC and MiniMod 4 are lined up alongside the newly-launched Quattrocanali install series on booth #3.1, C41, which was unveiled recently at the ISE Show in Amsterdam.

In addition to its touring and multi-channel process controlled amplifiers, Powersoft’s range of power modules provide the engines for many market-leading active loudspeaker systems and rack amplifiers.

LiteMod 4HC – designed for use in high channel count applications, three- and two-way systems, subwoofers and satellite systems – is an extremely versatile amplification platform that integrates a PFC-equipped power supply for universal mains operation, as well as four output stages, delivering a maximum total of 2400W.

The fact that it can be configured for four-, three-, two- or single-channel output, supporting 2Ω as well as 8Ω operation, gives it greater flexibility.

MiniMod 4 is an 4 x 150W amplification platform the offers a universal mains switching mode power supply with PFC, and a total of 600W of audio amplification. This integrated module boasts the same degree of flexibility as the LiteMod 4HC, and is also well suited for MI and consumer audio applications.

“These modules are the new benchmark when it comes to low idle power consumption, flexibility and cost effectiveness for many applications,” said Luca Giorgi, sales and business development director at Powersoft. “Both platforms will provide any loudspeaker’s designer with an incredibly flexible tool to design a complete range of products including standalone amplifiers.”
