PL+S 2017: Void Acoustics showcases Arcline 8 line array

Void Acoustics’ Arcline 8 line array is making its first tradeshow appearance at this year’s Prolight + Sound on the company’s stand C65 in hall 3.1.

The system was first unveiled last summer at the BoomTown Fair festival in Hampshire, UK.

Arcline 8 is a high power three-way small to medium format line array enclosure optimised for use in theatres, event spaces and outdoors. The loudspeaker has been developed using extensive Finite Element Analysis (FEA) modelling to allow users maximum performance from the smallest footprint.

To extend past the lower cutoff frequency of Arcline 8 the new Arcline system also includes a new low frequency enclosure, the Arcline 212, which can be flown in the array to increase the low frequency extension of smaller arrays or can be ground stacked in multiples using the Arcline fly frame to allow a full range, low profile system.

Arcline also features an all new rigging system which allows for many configuration options, including pre-rigging angle selection, array lock and self-centering for easy box handling and interaction.

The Arcline system is packaged with EASE Focus 3, which is used to simulate and define system configurations. EASE Focus 3 allows the user to realise the sonic performance of the system in three dimensions using features such as Auto Splay functions, Virtual EQ and detailed analysis of sound coverage, SPL and frequency response of the system.

Specifications of the system include:

  • 2 x 1.4in HF compression drivers
  • 2 x 8in mid drivers with phase shading devices
  • 2 x 8in horn loaded low frequency drivers
  • 110 degree dispersion
  • 16 Ohm impedance
  • 24 box max hang
