Revolabs bolsters executive team

Revolabs has announced the appointment of Marc Cremer to the position of COO, while Tim Root has been named as the company’s new CTO and executive vice president of new business development.

In his new role, Cremer will handle worldwide operations, including sales, marketing, technical services, and product management. Root will manage Revolabs’ new business development efforts and further the company’s vision and strategic approach to future products.

With a background in developing media and telepresence solutions for the video communications and security markets, Root has held executive-level positions for the last 13 years in both public and venture-backed companies. He has also served as president and CEO of Chester Technologies; CTO and vice president of product management for OzVision; and CTO and vice president of business development for Polycom’s Video Division.

Cremer brings over 23 years’ of experience to his new role, having joined the company from Taqua, where he held the position of executive vice president of operations and general manager of wireless. Previously, he served as executive vice president of operations for Tatara Systems.
