Tascam expands mic range with two new models

Tascam has expanded its growing microphone range with e launch of the TM-70 and TM-82 vocal mics.

The TM-70 is a dynamic microphone designed for live broadcasts, podcasting, film dialogue and audio streaming. A hybrid of super-cardioid and dynamic elements, the TM-70 suppresses ambient noise and is tuned to the nuances of the human voice. With a frequency range of 30 Hz to 20 kHz, the TM-70 has been built to capture and emphasise whatever it is aimed at.

It also comes with a suspension shock-mount to reduce low-frequency rumble, a mic cable, and a table-top stand.

The TM-82 features a unidirectional cardioid pattern designed for speech, vocals and acoustic instruments. With a frequency range from 50 Hz to 20 kHz, it can be used for recording and live performances. The cardioid pattern aims to reduce the risk of feedback and produces a moderate proximity effect designed to produce a warm bottom-end. Furthermore, it does not require phantom power.

The TM-70 has the SRP of £79.00 / €85.00 and the TM-82 has the SRP of £42.00 / €45.00.  Both products are available from the end of January.
