Tileyard London launch landmark London immersive listening space for Dolby Atmos playback sessions

King’s Cross site allows guests to experience latest immersive albums and scores as the artist intended.

Based in London’s Kings Cross, Tileyard London is home to a plethora of established brands and organisations from the creative sectors of music, film and gaming. Its resident community already includes the likes of TYX, Apple Music 1, Noel Gallagher, The Prodigy, 8Bars, Pioneer DJ, Ableton, SoundCloud and Spitfire Audio, to name but a few alongside 60 recording studios.

Today, Tileyard London launches The Gallery, a space which truly reflects the future of sound. Bringing the work of expert producers, artists and composers from the studio to an open, social space will present immersive sound to guests on a whole new level.

The Gallery is equipped with immersive Dolby Atmos playback. Tileyard selected Dynaudio speakers installed with the help of Munro Acoustics.

Nick Keynes, founder of Tileyard London, says

“The immersive appeal of The Gallery represents a real first for London and gives albums mixed in Dolby Atmos albums the launchpad they deserve as the next generation of sound for new and legacy songs that we know and love. I’m excited for the industry and wider creative community to experience The Gallery which sits at the heart of Tileyard London”.

Jane Gillard, Head of Music Partnerships, Europe says

“We are very excited to see Tileyard expand its use of Dolby Atmos from music mixing to playback with this beautiful and innovative venue and look forward to many successful events with artists and music fans”.

Clive Glover of Munro, says

“The space is ideally proportioned for Dolby Atmos, so we were able to create an environment that will allow the maximum number of people to hear and enjoy Dolby Atmos for music at its best. The Dynaudio Acoustics loudspeaker system, designed by Munro Acoustics in conjunction with Dynaudio, is the latest development of our large format M3 studio system using the new generation of Dynaudio’s superb driver technology. The extreme clarity and solid imaging quality make this an ideal album-launch venue”.

For Atmos playbacks and artist meet-and-greets, The Gallery also has a full-length bar and offers catering for an event of listening and networking.
