API 2011 review: June

As API’s review of 2011 approaches the summer months, we look back on some of the major talking point, which took place in June.

With the year reaching its halfway point and the festival season starting to kick in to gear, June began with the news that Digico had taken care of FOH, monitor and on-air broadcast mixing duties on the KROQ stage at the Coachella Music and Arts festival with its SD8 console.

API columnist Wes Maebe provided a full report of the 2011 AES show in Hammersmith, while, in other news, Midas announced the departure of managing director John Oakley from the company.

Additionally, a number of big names from the pro audio industry turned out for the MIRC 2011 event to share their latest innovations.
