Total Eclipse

Clear-Com has debuted the newest addition to its line of Eclipse HX Digital Matrix Systems at Prolight+Sound 2013, the Eclipse HX-Delta Matrix Frame. The Eclipse HX-Delta provides two CPU cards for redundant system control, with the option of up to four variet I/O frame cards and up to three interface modules in a 3RU frame. This gives users the option to build a distributed matrix system, rather than installing large system frames in just one location.

Also launched at the show was version 1.1 of the Helixnet Partyline Intercom System. Included in the new product release is a system-linking capability, allowing users to extend their digital partyline intercome communications over a network to multiple production spaces. Also included is the ability to link up to five HMS-4X Main Stations via Ethernet and support up to 100 HBP-2X digital beltpacks. The linking fucntion significantly expands the channel count on intercoms, with up to 20 partyline channels and five programs available for selection by dialing up the channels needed on the beltpack. Up to five Main Stations can be connected via the new HL1-ET2 Ethernet Module in HelixNet’s station-to-station networking. The Main Stations can connect directly over fibre of through a LAN using standard IT switches. A new HLI-FBS Fibre Module is also available for linking stations over long distances.

The company also announced enhancements to its Tempest Digital Wireless Intercoms, including a Remote Line Extender, which increases the system’s cable run distance of a remote antenna by 3000 feet with one Line Extender, or 2000 feet per Line Extender if using more than one. A total of three Line Extenders can be connected to provide total coverage of up to 7500 feet.
