Game conference Develop:Brighton 2018 announces first speakers

Speakers from BBC Studios, Frontier Developments and Sony London Studio will talk about the future of game development at the Develop:Brighton conference in July. 

Creative Assembly, Wargaming and Unity Technologies help make up the initial announcement of 31 sessions, representing a quarter of the programme (with more to be confirmed). 

Bradley Crooks from BBC Studios will talk about how new technology channels – particularly VR – will open up opportunities for content makers to develop new formats for storytelling in his ‘Developing New Story Telling Formats’ session. 

Alessia Nigretti from Unity Technologies will demonstrate how to enhance a game’s AI using Unity Machine Learning Agents (no prior knowledge is required). 

From games publisher Fig, Alex Amsel’s session ‘Cryptocurrency in Gaming: Today and Tomorrow’ will focus on the growth of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology and how developers can use this new phenomenon for their next game project.

The three-day conference and expo takes place at the Hilton Brighton Metropole from July 10-12, 2018.
